HeartMind Shiatsu™ Basic Training
Overview:
This training covers the fundamentals of HeartMind Shiatsu for Certified and Licensed Allied Health Professionals including Massage Therapists, Physical Therapists, Acupuncturists, Counselors, Caregivers, Yoga Instructors, Qigong and Tai Chi Practitioners. It is designed to give participants the basic knowledge and skill they need to integrate a new technique into an existing touch therapy, coaching or care giving practice. In the program, students will learn both practical and theoretical tools for health and wellness applications. Non-professionals may also take the course, in which they will learn skills that they can take into personal home use with friends and family, and set the stage for further professional study should they find that to be their calling.

• Yin/Yang/ Five Element Energetic Principles
• Twelve Regular Channels of Meridian Energy flow
• Organ Network Locations and Functions
• Classical Chinese Medicine Extraordinary Vessel Theory
• Deficiency/Excess Energy Patterns
Format:
The HeartMind Shiatsu Basic Training is formatted for the busy professional. The program is broken down into four levels of training of 30 hours each. Each 30 hours is offered in a four-day intensive format, or in two 15 hour weekend classes. The content is rich with detail. And in the time between intensives fascinating fieldwork assignments help keep the material fresh and ensure comprehension and integration of this in-depth material. Competency in the technique grows with practice, and time. Regular weekly practice classes with HeartMind Staff and Faculty are available, and Private and Semi-private tutorials are recommended and may be required, depending upon student need and interest.
