Nestled at the edge of the majestic Rocky Mountains, the City of Boulder is a mecca for nature enthusiasts and adventurers of body, mind and spirit. The city is surrounded by over 35,000 acres of “open space” with 120 miles of trails. The bike paths that crisscross the city allow for easy navigation without the need for a car.
At the heart of Boulder is the lively Pearl Street Mall, a walking mall filled with flowers, street performers, shops and restaurants of all kinds. Just next door is Central Park where the Farmer’s market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday in the warmer months, and you’ll find people swimming in Boulder Creek, playing frisbee, or simply relaxing in the sun.
With 2 universities and many other training programs, the energy is vibrant, youthful and cutting edge. There is a consciousness here that holds a profound space for learning and growth and cultivating one’s potential. Traditionally this region was home to the Southern Arapaho people and the great Chief Niwot. Be forewarned – the legend of Niwot’s Curse prophesizes that travelers will be enchanted by the beauty of this land and once here, will be unable to leave again.
